Manchester Based photographer, Chris Lewtas has been producing socially engaged work since 2012. Originally a filmmaker from Lancashire, Chris uses film photography and his love of cinema to fuel visually stimulating projects.
When not in the darkroom Chris can be found documenting the streets with his 70 year old Rolleicord. Recently featured for his work with ‘black Lives matter’, increasing interest now grows for his latest project ‘Not Yet’, which looks at the creative pathway of a photographer in lockdown.
Although self taught, Chris now studies Ma Photography at Falmouth University whilst working as a technician at Salford University.
